Style on a budget

It's been kind of sunny of late, so I'm back to dreaming of all things outdoorsy. A few things that caught my eye is stylish outdoor living on the cheap. Well kind of. I had previously saved some links to Greek suppliers/companies that sell amazing outdoor furniture, but since I upgraded my Firefox, all my bookmarks were lost and it's not easy remembering a Greek company - spelling issues!!! I'll do my best to source what I lost back again in a future post.
Anyhow, Supermarket giant Tesco (UK) are selling a rather functional yet stylish Rattan set with glass top table at 500 quid - not bad i say.
What's cool about this number is that you can push the chairs right under the table, concealing the chairs, see below!

The other shocker for me was that fashion retailer Next was also selling garden/outdoor furniture that is actually really stylish. I'm digging the hanging egg chair and super cheap sun loungers in pretty colours!

Next seem to be on the right track at the moment as their entire home collection rocks. It's great that you can get various home interior styles on without breaking the bank and have it all delivered to your home too.

Outdoor visions

Please can I come stay here and chill beside the pool - cocktail in hand would be even better! Now that we're in full on Spring/Summer mode and waking up a whole hour earlier than we did last Saturday we can officially sit outside and enjoy having brekkie on the balcony/terrace/porch... I'm always one for admiring beautiful outdoor space, there are plenty in Greece as we're dominated by the sun for the majority of the year.
I just wish i had a really gorgeous space (and pool) like the image above which was designed by interior designer Kristen Hutchins. I'm also a sucker for colour and vibrancy, hence the image below... What's your outdoor living style and what plans have you got for creating an outdoor chill out space? With the Sahara winds gone, the need for a full on spring clean on our terrace is on. Dust, dirt and neglected plants...

I'm loving all of these images, especially the oversized French clock above and you can never really go wrong with monochrome either. The touch of burnt orange is also v cool, however I'd have gone more accent tones of pink or turquoise!

Sunny, Stunning upholstery fabrics

East Village in Raspberry

I just adore upholstery fabrics that can really brighten up your day. I should have posted this like last summer when the lovely Jen over at Made By Girl showed some inspirational images of her guest room makeover , but now that the sun is out again I want to inspire you all over again.
I know, I know, I'm probably the last person on earth to blog about Rubie Green, but hey ho... I love the roses print, it reminds me of the old fashion days, when Kookai (Paris) did a rose print collection which flew out of the window, we re-coloured the print for a transitional collection.
My fave does happen to be the Raspberry chevron - East Village though...

So, Yay, the sun is shining and spring is surely on the way... This usually means a makeover overhaul for the home, balcony, terrace and outdoor living space. Aside from the must-haves from Rubie Green, we're also loving these colourful, quirky prints by Alan Campbell, China Seas, Home Couture but also referred to as Quadrille. I've seen swatches and random cuttings all over the inspiration boards of many a talented Interior Designer stateside, so that must mean something. I've never really been a huge fan of Ikat prints, but the new 2010 collection, 'Island Ikat' range seems to have caught my eye, I do love bold colour and prints and those dining chairs really need a dash of vibrancy. Must inquire about deliveries to Greece.

We heart Kelly Hoppen

Today, we were mesmerized by Kelly Hoppens' Interior projects that'll more than tickle your tastebuds. One of my personal favourites is this seductive living room below in Chepstow, London.

What's new & What's hot this month!

Holy macaroni, it has been a while! Last month a break away for team Epiplo Aris meant keeping an eagle eye out on all things fabulous and stylish.

High on our list of things we're loving is super hot US company Kohler are simply the best when it comes to bathrooms and kitchen products and design. Seriously, there is something for everyone taste-wise, they definitely have that special design touch as we want everything. Sadly there just isn't enough room, however here are just some of our favourite things:

Dreamy bathroom

Elegant Cast Iron bath

Lilly Lore basin in brushed bronze - elaborate design

Iron/Occasions Island - brilliant combination of counter top and sink allows you to do everything without having to go anywhere. This genius design also comes in various colours and slick stainless steel too.

We came across a little Austrian label called Viteo who create seriously stylish outdoor furniture. It might be September, but summer isn't quite over yet, so lounge outside while the sun still shines with our fave pieces from Viteo; Summer swing and summer hammock.

Outdoor living: stylish design we love

Our current obssession lies within all things outdoor, so when we came across Paul Joseph Hopper (amazing and talented Interior designer) blog and his high recommendation of Patricia Urquiola's work, we just had to see what all the fuss was about. Well, all we can say here is 'stunning'! This is what stylish outdoor living is about.

Below are just a few more lustworthy bits of stylish out door living images we love.

We heart Paisley!

You're probably wondering what's been tickling our taste buds this month, well summer is truly upon us and it's time to get our Outdoor living space spruced and spiced up.

This month Epiplo Aris have been focusing on their very own Balcony space which is currently a bit of a blank canvas albeit a few pots of plants. So far, we've got two benches which need cushions.

It was time to do a bit of a recce on outdoor living spaces and also to catch up with our fave design & interior blogs. The little inspiration board above highlights just some of the pictures that caught our attention.

At Marimekko, bold bright prints were high on the agenda for summer. The Catwalk also showed bold prints, lots of colour and as well as a few paisley prints. There's nothing like a modern take on paisley to update a boho mood. We've opted to go with a sky blue coated fabric for the main seating cushion and a bold modern print for the mini, decorative cushions. Below we've captured some perfect outdoor living spaces from Coco+Kelley who has been deciding what to do with her own patio in the States.

Oversized paisley print cushions, yes, i think we'll definitely go with that.
