• Open coil – a traditional spring system which uses high-tensile steel to form a
hard-wearing, comfortable and supportive platform • Continuous link – this is made from a single length of wire ‘knitted’ into a series of interwoven springs, linked vertically rather than horizontally, that feel more responsive than the springs in an open coil mattress
• Pocket sprung – rows of smaller, lightweight springs of varying shapes and sizes, each housed separately in a fabric pocket, making the mattress more flexible (good for couples sharing a bed, as the mattress contours to individual body shape)
• Memory foam – for space age comfort, try this mattress, made from revolutionary foam originally developed for NASA. It moulds to your shape once warmed by your body heat, to provide great support.
• Latex – a naturally derived biodegradable product. It comes from the rubber tree. Latex is hypo-allergenic, and breathes to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Bacteria, mildew, and mold cannot live in latex foam. Independent tests prove that latex foam is three times more resistant to dust mites and bacteria than ordinary mattresses.
