Through the Keyhole: The Glamourai's home

There's one fashion blogger out there who simply blew me away with her & her partners apartment in NY, it is seriously OTT fabulous glam, I love it! Kelly Framel of The Glamourai is one stylish lady, it's no surprise that this trait is personified throughout her home too.

I seriously love the moody elements, brass accents here and there and the oh so cool wardrobe. I-DIE! I love that the living room oozes elegance and a touch of Hollywood Regency.
I only wish that Greece offered more cool flea markets, Vintage shops and score some thrifty finds, but all the good stuff in furniture stores are usually re-pros... sigh...

Despite the simple colour palette - white, black and sprinkles of gold, it still feels cosy and luxe. Kelly doesn't have a huge living room area but it is cleverly styled, I love this lucite table and the stools for a mini dining area that leads into the living room.
I have such an awkward shaped open-plan living room/kitchen with a lack of walls (there are two patio doors leading to the balcony) that I have no idea where to place a dining area.

I would never think to frame pictures or hang frames in these places, but in this apartment it works really well. Loving the gorgeous screen in the back left wall.

Welcome to the most awesome closet in the world!

Belts and trinkets stored in a organizer with clear pockets

File dividers used to separate bags - fab idea!!

Kelly has used expandable shoe racks here to fit all her gorgeous heels in the closet

For more info and Kelly's post, check it out here

Kelly scored this dresser in a flea market find and painted it - see original post on Kelly's love for D.I.Y, a few before and afters here

There are no words to describe how organized and undeniably cool this space is.

Through the Keyhole: Caitlin Wilson's home

I had these gorgeous images saved for a rainy day, but i just keep going back to this home in Dubai belonging to the lovely Caitlin Wilson, Interior Designer and fellow blogger.
This is style in a semi small space, and she has got it going on! There's so much I adore above this living room - from the chevron feauture wall, Chiang Mai Dragon cushions & Riad cushions to the pretty turquoise table lamp bases.

Through the Keyhole: Style guru - Patricia Field

Oh my, I was so excited to see that the Timesonline had featured costume designer (Sex and the City) and Stylist to the stars, Patricia Field's home. With all that fabulous red hair and go get it attitude and of course outrageous but fantastic bold fashion sense I knew to expect nothing less than a home that simply dazzles! Her home in China Town, New York reflects everything that she is, those glass tiles are painted with a mural - not sure if she did it herself, but the colours are wow!

There's so much going on in the living room but i love it, her love for colour & boldness is very evident throughout her apartment and behind those mirrored walls is Pat's bedroom. The rest of the house is quite theatrical, but i guess that derives the ethos & styling advice she has - "Think of yourself as an actress on a stage. Today, your stage might be the office. How do you see yourself and how do you want to be seen by the people you work with? Visualise yourself in your outfit and the image you will be creating."

I thought this was another room, but taking a second look it's a bathroom!

This a perfect little spot for Pat to do some creative thinking...a brick bay lined in sequins!

I wanna live here

Be warned, you, like me will want to ditch & replace any previous interior ideas you had for you home for something like this. This totally inspiring home belongs to Julie Richard of SHELTER Interior Design, Boston, USA. I love the use of colour and print on the cushions throughout her home. I've been looking at new outdoor summery prints and upholstery fabrics by Quadrille for my next post and wondering what I should upholster my antique dining chairs with. I absolutely adore the zebra print chairs over at Elements of Style.

Love the image board-and the cutting of chevron fabric

The foyer - I love the lacquered look with oriental handles. Julie knows a thing or two about a perfectly balanced, stunning and welcoming entrance, refer to her post about Foyers here.

The living room-gorgeous isn't it? I'm loving the rug and the cushions!

All the finer details have been thought out carefully - no clutter people!

A Stylish, Hip family home

It's probably a little early to start warbling about something else since the last post but I swear this is worth you guys dribbling over the design and wow factory of awesome design duo and their 7 kids home in New York, USA. Yup, that was seven children, couldn't quite grasp that at first... Introducing Robert & Cortney Novogratz family home of sixxdesign.com.

There's an incredible amount of light throughout their downtown family home and the kitchen is where it all happens and where the family get together. It's not too shabby either with zebrawood (from Brazil) throughout the entire house. The Chaise lounge is from Soho-treasures.com amongst a few of their other stylish finds.

Yes, this indeed is an indoor basketball court as well as a football ct and skating rink and guess what? It also transforms into a movie theatre, ain't this just too cool for school this! Lucky kids!

The windows were put in specially throughout the house allowing them views of the Hudson River, perfect. Oh and the big sleek grey thing that is a table is a limited edition piece by Zaha Radid, from Rove (rovetv.net), London.

Through the keyhole: Home Tour

I love a good sneak peek into other peoples homes, as they reveal quite a lot about that person, their personal taste and style. This will be one of the first in the series, as there'll be plenty more cool interiors to show off in upcoming posts. I love this home, which I came across on the fabulous Design Sponge, who has a whole archive of home tours and lots of inspiration too. The home I've plucked out is that of Gemma Ahern one part of UK design duo ATELIER Abigail Ahern, you can find the link to DS post here. The bookcase wallpaper (thought it was real for a moment) and crazy fluoro pink coffee table set amongst the charcoal tones...we sure do like!

Had you all fooled that it was a real bookcase right?
